On May 6, 2925, BEMC Foundation gave out over $60k to 58 organizations in Brunswick and Columbus Counties.
FOLSOI received a $500.00 grant to enhance/expand our Wonderbook collection at both Barbee and Harper branches.
Wonderbooks are read along print books with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids press “play” to read along with their favorite books. In addition to the reading mode, there is also a learning mode with educator vetted Q&A about the story. The learning feature enhances comprehension and is also a powerful tool to teach parents how to talk with their children about books. Wonderbooks help children with vocabulary development, phonics and comprehension.
