FOLSOI applies for several grants each year to bolster our fundraising efforts and better support our branches. While the amounts differ each year, they can range from $1,000 to as much as $10,000 from various businesses or foundations interested in supporting our mission.

Grants have become a key part of FOLSOI’s ability to raise money, and we are
lucky to have a few talented grant writers on our board/volunteer team that make it all possible.

One of our consistent Grantors has been the St James Service Club (SJSC). A few years ago, they supported us with a grant that enabled the purchase of laptops for the Robotics program offered at each branch.

Their generosity continued in 2023, and on June 14th several board members attended the SJSC annual grants presentation, along with dozens of others local non-profit organizations, to receive our award. We were honored to receive a check for $1,000.

We want to express our sincere thanks to the SJSC for their continued support and to their members who give their time and resources to benefit so many non-profits in Brunswick County.
