Here’s the Buzz from the 32nd BCLC Spelling Bee
Congratulations to Bill Chase and Spring Harkins who represented Southport Realty in the Brunswick County Literary Council’s recent Spelling Bee. They are the 32nd annual spelling bee champs! And a big shout out to the FOLSOI team, Liz Fuller and Lynne Sniffen, for coming in fourth place! Well done all.

Volunteer Update
Great news: We have set a new record – the volunteer hours reported by FOLSOI members for the month of May totaled an incredible 681.5 hours! The Book Sale team alone put in more than 100 hours over their April total. We have wonderful volunteers! Thanks for everything you do for FOLSOI!

FOLSOI, Kiwanis Club of Southport-Oak Island and Harper Library present: Thurs. June 16 and Thurs. July 14, 2-3:30pm. It’s back! This fun and award winning program is based on the latest science standards and was created to enhance kids’ curiosity and science skills. Oceans of Possibilities Summer Reading Program
Barbee: Tuesdays at 11am starting June 14 | Harper: Mondays at 11 am starting June 13. Join Harper’s Birthday Book Club!
Celebrate a child’s birthday AND support Harper Library. Create lasting memories by sponsoring the purchase of exciting new kids’ books for Harper Library that will celebrate your child! Your child’s birthday month, librarians will choose a new book matching your child’s age range. A bookplate dedicating the book in your child’s honor will be placed inside; your child will get a birthday card acknowledging the gift made in his or her name.
