Celebrate a child in your life and support Harper Library! With your $20 donation per child, our librarians will choose a new book that matches your child’s age and preferred holiday theme. A bookplate dedicating the book in your child’s honor will be placed inside, and a special holiday card will be sent to your child! Just call Harper Library at (910) 457-6237!

Our volunteers are amazing!

Wow! Our volunteer hour numbers just keep increasing! Our total hours for September was just over 440, with so much work happening in Programs & Events, Ways & Means and of course Book Sales! We are so grateful to all our volunteers!

Programs & Special Events Co-Chair
As part of a dynamic board of directors, lead a terrific team of 4-5 volunteer library program coordinators for popular programs like Let’s Talk About It, Opera Sunday, and Meet the Author. Also arrange and present educational or entertainment programs for FOLSOI’s Annual Meeting and initiate Friends of the Library community events with library managers.
